2nd Annual IWAV Fundraising Dinner: $10,000 for Change
Announcing IWAV’s 2nd Annual $10,000 for Change “An Elegant Farm to Table Supper” at Stowel Lake Farm on Tuesday, September 11th, 5:30pm – 9:00pm.
This is a fundraiser supporting Island Women Against Violence whose priorities include:
- Access to safe and affordable housing to improve the health and safety of those who have been impacted by poverty, violence or abuse.
- Preventing violence against women and children, a serious local issue often created by poverty, addiction and mental health problems.
Last year’s event was extremely successful due to your sponsorship and attendance. We hope you will join us again for a fun, wonderful evening with delicious food by Chef Haidee Hart, at their beautiful farm at 190 Reynolds Road.
Starter: Golden Pear and Squash Soup with crème fraiche & crispy sage leaves with woodfired oven breads & rose petal butter with fresh herb butter.
Main: Herb encrusted SSI Lamb with roasted new potatoes, fennel & celeriac root puree with rosemary cream.
Vegetarian Main: Wild Mushroom, cherry tomato and fresh ricotta galette
Dessert: Tart Tatin (French Apple Tart with Caramelized local apples) with Crème Fraiche.
All the main menu items (with exception of the woodfired bread) will be Gluten Free.
Includes Mount Maxwell coffee, black and herbal teas, and a fresh mint tisane.
Individual tickets are $100 = 1 dinner, 1 drink, and 1 raffle ticket.
Our MC for the evening will be the lovely Julie MacKinnon! Julie has lots of experience leading a night of fun. Thank-you Julie!
